Statement of Faith
We Believe:
That the Old and New Testaments are verbally inspired by God and preserved without error for English speaking people in the King James Version of the Bible. (II Peter 1:21; II Tim. 3:16-17)
In God that exists as a Trinity: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (Matt. 28:19; Gal. 4:6)
The world was created by God in six literal twenty-four hour days. (Gen. 1)
All mankind is sinful after the fall of Adam, and all mankind is in need of salvation. (Rom. 5:12)
In the virgin birth, sinless life of Jesus Christ, and that He died for the sins of all mankind. (Matt 1:18-25; Heb 10:10)
In the literal, bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ, from the grave and bodily ascension into Heaven where He is seated at the right hand of the Father interceding for believers. (Rom. 8:34; I Cor. 15:4)
Salvation is by grace, through faith in Christ’s finished work on the cross nothing more, nothing less. (Eph.2:8,9)
The eternal security of the believer in Christ. (I John 5:9-13)
In a literal Heaven and a literal Hell as the only two eternal abodes of the souls of men. (John 14:2-3; II Peter 2:4)
Those that have put their faith in Christ’s finished work on the cross will abide with God in Heaven. Those that reject His salvation will abide forever in the Lake of Fire. (I John 5:12)
In the autonomy of the local church as an assembly of baptized believers with the purpose of carrying out the Great Commission. (Acts 13:2)
The church observes two ordinances: baptism by immersion for believers, and the Lord’s Supper. (Acts 2:41; I Cor. 11:23-30)
In the Second Coming of Christ in two phases: the pre-tribulational rapture of all believers, and the pre-millennial return of the Lord Jesus Christ. (I Thess. 4:13-18; Rev. 19:11-13)
In separating from current trends in doctrine and practice that are not in accordance with the Bible. Including: liberalism, calvinism, ecumenicalism, the tongues movement, the healing movement, and contemporary worship practices. (II Cor. 6:14-17)
There are only two genders, male and female, determined by God at the time of conception. (Gen. 1:27)
Scriptural marriage is between one man and one woman. (Gen. 2:24; Eph. 5:23-33)
The Word of God is the sole authority for the believer’s faith, conduct and doctrine. (Rom 6:11-13)
This doctrinal statement does not exhaust the extent of our faith.
The Bible itself is the sole and final source of all we believe.
